ABOUT THIS BOARD
English Sycamore - A very heavy, dense hardwood with a pale brown or pink colour and occasional reddish streaks. Widely used in furniture making and well suited to end-grain chopping boards.
English Sycamore - Creamy white to yellowish white when fresh, darkening to light golden brown with exposure. Similar in appearance and properties to American Maple, but homegrown.
Stripy: Alternating strips of different wood species. Contrasting light and dark timbers can produce a particularly striking appearance.
